Your size, your stage: 5 key differences between our 55" and 65" Multitouch Displays and Tables

Shape Your Interaction with Scape X®

At Interactive Scape, we believe that the right technology can transform collaborative and interactive experiences. That's why our Scape X® ecosystem, encompassing everything from our powerful object recognition engine to our intuitive software and innovative hardware, is designed with versatility in mind. Our Scape® Tangible displays and the tables built around them (Pro, Lab, Movable) are available in two popular dimensions: 55" and 65". Choosing the right size is a crucial step in ensuring your Scape X® solution perfectly aligns with your specific needs, and these needs aren't always dictated by the industry you operate in - be it a museum, exhibition space, hospitality venue, or a smart city initiative.

Your Size, Your Stage: Understanding the Nuances of 55'' and 65''

While both our 55'' and 65'' Scape® Tangible displays deliver the same premium performance and object recognition capabilities, they cater to different interaction styles and environments. The key differences lie in their capacity for collaboration, the ideal number of users they can comfortably accommodate, the complexity of applications, and the physical space they occupy.

Our large 65'' display offers a truly immersive canvas for multi-user interaction. It's designed for maximal collaboration, comfortably accommodating up to eight people around it. This larger surface area not only provides ample room for bigger groups to simultaneously engage with complex content, making it ideal for brainstorming sessions, in-depth data exploration, and collaborative learning experiences, but it also allows for the placement ofa greater number of physical objects on the display. This means more users can interact with different elements without feeling cramped or disturbing each other's workflow. For instance, in a museum setting, multiple Scape X® Magnify objects can be placed on the 65" display, allowing several visitors to zoom in on different areas of an exhibit or explore more content simultaneously without interfering with one another. Think of it as a spacious stage where multiple actors can contribute and interact seamlessly.

On the other hand, our compact 55" display provides a focused and versatile setup for up to six individuals. It excels in scenarios where space is more limited or when the interaction is intended to be more centred. Its crisp and engaging experience makes it perfect for focused presentations, individual exploration of content, or smaller group discussions. This more intimate scale can also enhance the feeling of direct engagement with physical objects placed on the surface. With fewer users and a more focused area, the interaction with tangible elements can feel more personal and less overwhelming, allowing for a deeper connection with the content at hand.

To put it simply:

  • Collaboration: 65" for maximal collaboration, 55" for compact interaction.
  • Number of People: 65" comfortably fits 6 people (up to 8), while the 55" is ideal for 4 (up to 6).
  • Complexity of App Interface: The larger surface of the 65" is well-suited for complex user interfaces with high information density.
  • Size of the Area: The 55" is perfect for spaces where every inch counts, while the 65" thrives in larger collaborative settings.
  • Object Interaction: 65" for accommodating a greater number of objects and simultaneous interaction without interference; 55" for a more focused and personal engagement with tangible elements.

Real-World Impact: Seeing the Difference in Action

The best way to understand the impact of display size is to see it in action. Here are a couple of examples from our valued customers:

SIEMENS Future Room Energy - Embracing Complexity on a Grand Scale

The SIEMENS Future Room Energy project perfectly illustrates the power of our 65" Scape® Pro multitouch table with additional convenient side panels. The complex application was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the German energy supply network and its intricate processes. From comparing household devices to analyzing renewable energy sources, the application demands a large, shared workspace to allow groups of up to eight people to comfortably engage with the detailed visualizations and foster collaborative discussions. The large 65" table provides the ideal platform for this immersive and multi-faceted exploration.

Zgoll at ORGATEC 2024 - Focused Interaction in a Dynamic Environment

Our partner zgoll: opted for a Scape® Tangible 55" multitouch display for their presence at the ORGATEC trade fair in 2024. Their thematic focus was on the integration of mixed reality technology in the modern workplace. In the bustling environment of a trade fair, the 55" display offered a perfect solution for guided tours and focused demonstrations within the "Inspired Augmented Office" focus area. It allowed smaller groups to gather around and experience the interactive elements, delivering a crisp and engaging experience in a dynamic setting.

Your Vision, Our Expertise: Finding the Perfect Fit
