The theme of this installation is evolution as the basis for the diversity of life. Lines of Evolution consists of a virtual 3D environment that makes it possible to view the development of life in motion. Ten living beings are morphed into one another, thus precisely tracing the path from simple multi-cellular organisms to land-dwellers. Visitors can control the process of shape change in real time. Details such as muscle development or skeletal structure can be added or displayed separately. The objects can be freely navigated via a touchscreen and thus viewed from all sides.
